Executive Portraits for Multiplier

“Matt, we’ve a problem. We only have one small space for photography and we need 11 different portraits.”
”Ok, I know how to make it happen.”

When Multiplier, a global HR platform, approached us to photograph their C-suites at their office, we knew it was going to be a challenge. We were given their Library, a space no bigger than 8 sqm to do the shoot. It was great for consistency but boring when it came to visual interest.

When we saw the space, I instantly knew we had to put on our creative hats. I usually like to play off the environment I’m shooting in to create unique photos but in this case where the backdrop is the same, I had to work with the subject instead.

The key differentiator was the poses – to come up with at least 11 different natural poses was a challenge but luckily, after shooting for nearly 1 0 years, I’ve a mental data bank of poses to make their executives look good without coming across as contrived.

Next was the props. Thankfully, the library provided us with a range of natural props we could use - from chairs to books to coffee tumblers. Some executives used their own spectacles as props too.

Lastly, is frame size. We adjusted the frame size to showcase each executives in their best light.

We were glad our efforts were noticed as the marketing head told us we did a great job.

At In Conversation, we don’t shy away from the tough assignments. We embrace creative challenges to get you your ideal outcome. Keen to work with us, drop us a message!

Oh btw, that’s the "Library” I was talking about.
